Hello all and happy thanksgiving to you and all your fids.
I have an eclectus parrot and I want to get another parrot and I am considering a goffin. Do any of you know if goffins and eckkies get along together? Are their any goffin owners here? I want to purchase a baby one. I am looking for as much information as I can get on Goffins from owners that own them.  Are they like Umbrellas in any way? What makes them different from other toos except for the obvious size he  or she would be around the same size as my eckkie.

Thanks,
Brandy and Kermit

Brandy,
I currently have a Citron Umbrella, Grey and lovebird. I had a goffin and umbrella a few years ago. The goffin is a great bird-character,funny,lovable. However, it is very demanding, loves alot, i mean alot of attention. It will scream until he gets what he wants. But boy are they fun to be with, smart and talks.
Good luck. Patti

I have a goffins and they are great birds. Susie Q is very content to play in her "home" until night time, then it is Mommy and Susie time! We sit together every night after dinner and play for 2-3 hours. She does scream when she goes back in but knows it's  nite-nite time and calms down within 5 minutes. My other birds are out of their cages almost all day as they stay on their cages and playstands. If I had Susie out she will get down and wander all over the house. She does her morning yell, while the other birds say Hello, they kind of rile each other up for the day.She does not talk and socializes from a slight distance, she doesn't mind other birds but would indimidate them, she's bossy! LOL! Loves attention! And lots of toys! If you plan on having all of them socialize I would do it very slow and always supervise. I think they would rather  be with people than other birds.
