Just sit back and wait. All canaries top singing during molt and for a little while after. He will start again.
I miss my Frankie. Love those canaries.

Annie...if I ever travel your way, I'll bring you a singer.  I only have 8 males and four females left.  I'd like to sell my females, but we aren't selling any more males.

Yes, Spike should eventually start singing again.  However, I do have a male that never started singing after his first moult until I moved him into our outside aviary, and then he started singing again, about 5 years after he stopped.

I would recommed that you put his cage in an area where he can get the maximum amount of sunlight daily, give him plenty of fresh green leafy things to eat, along with mashed boiled egg, mostly yolk, slices of fresh apple and cucumbers.   Be sure you take out any uneaten egg aften two hours.  Give him the opportunity to bathe daily.

Hope he finds his voice soon.  di

Di, one of my good friends here in town raises Stafford canaries. He wins awards with his birds and is the president of the Stafford Canary Club of Amerca.  One of his birds is shown in the official show cage on the website. There may be others on the photo page but they aren't identified. I could get a bird from him today but I don't want the added work and worry about another bird at this time.
Have you looked at the Stafford website?
Annie

Thanks for the link.  I love the look of the non-crested almost white canary on the home page.  Don would someday in the far future like to have a white canary.  But that will be after all these are gone, with  8 males, and some of them only a couple of years old, they may well out live us.  So I tell him, in his dreams.  di
