Due to hearing on the news this morning about the IE7 security problems with MSN I decided to go with FireFox as they suggested.... BUT

I just sent an email to Sherry and couldn't put a subject/hello/hi for instance and now after reply's here I don't see any emotions.

I can't win <crying>

HA - yeah - I guess that's why FF is so much more secure - it won't let you do anything!  I can't post pictures, use emoticons, change font - any of that stuff on MSN, and lots of times I can't get videos to play.  I use FF as my primary browser, but end up turning to IE a lot of the time!

Foxfire works great for me now that I've become accustomed to it!  All except for this community!  I did what Flesea did .....actually my kid did it for me!!!  So now I'm happy.

1) go up top to the tool bar and click on tools
2) scroll down to " IE TAB OPTIONS " and click on that
3) a box will pop up...check the URL; and click APPLY
4)click OK
5)click REFRESH on your web page

this will to be repeated at different web servers...yahoo, msn, yuku, myspase, multiply, etc..

there is another way ..in which you won't have to keep repeating the process.I have instructions stored somewheres...I'll try to find it

TRY THIS....

here are some tips for using graphics with Foxfire...

To use the rich text/smilies/insert picture using firefox you have to download an add-on/extension called 'IE Tab'.
With the browser open go to Tools - Add Ons.
When it opens click on Get Extensions at the bottom right hand side.
You can just put a search in for IE Tab.
Firefox will install it and ask you to restart.
Once restarted you can view msn groups as though you're using IE.

In order to be able to change your font color, size, add attachments, etc in MSN groups with Mozilla Firefox---you will need to install 2 add-ons from Mozilla, you can find them at the links below:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/35

After they have installed and you have restarted Firefox...go to your group. Right click in your groups page and click on "View Page in IE Tab". This will make the page look like it would in IE. When you click to start a new message or reply to a message, you will see your font and other options.
NOTE: If you have 'tabs' enabled in Firefox, you will not get the normal pop up for the message reply.....the reply box will open in a Tab, but it will still have the normal posting options.
If you do not like your reply box opening in tabs...then instead of right clicking inside the group and hitting view page in ie...right click in the message box and hit 'view page in ie tab'...this will make only the reply box pop-up view in IE mode.
 ~Tips by BamaVamp~
One more note on this...after you have installed the files and restarted.... in your Firefox browser go to Tools....Add Ons and highlight the IE Tab add-on. Click on the button that says Options right underneath it..under the tab called Sites Filter...add http://groups.msn.com to your list. From then on, you shouldn't have to right click to view in IE tab..it should do it automatically for you.

Thank you Lesa for the help to get emotions etc...

but adding the IE is what I'm trying to avoid till MSN gets the security problem fixed...

Then I'll go back to MSN and stop using FireFox.

I had a go around with someone using my EBay account and so when MSN advised the public to get another browser till they fixed the security problem then no IE/emotions/pics posted etc... for me!
