A friend of mine had a bunch of weeds and small bushes in his dogpen and was looking for a safe weed killer. I know that as any pet owner we're always looking for safe things like this, so I did some digging around on the web. This is what I found. http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf001029.tip.html
Now if I could only find a really good bug safe one! Nan

OK, going to mix up a small batch, find a few "test subjects", and give this a try.  If it works, I'll mix up gallons of it

Well, don't hold your breath waiting for a report!  It says it's supposed to be used on a sunny day.  It started raining this evening, and I may not see the sun again for months

Nan, I need to know if you want one that's safe for bugs or a bug killer that's safe around birds.

I'll skip the week killer - thats all I have growing at the moment!  But Annie - I'd LOVE a recipe for bug killer that is safe for everything else!

I'd love a bird safe crawling bug killer too! Anything with more than 4 legs does not belong in my house and if I have my way, they won't stay.

Yep, I tried it on a few dandelions and they are all brown and shriveled.  Need to mix up about 47 gallons and get busy.

Tell us if they grow right back or if they stay dead. If it isn't killing the roots you'll be spraying again in two weeks. I love my Roundup. Nice and chemically.

I have used Camicide bug spray around my bird with no ill affects.
