Gee, Toolady ... you're making me work!

If anyone else likes a shortcut, here is a link to Toolady's BB album: Toolady's Flock. There are new pictures on both page 1 and page 2!

Too, those bricks make a perfect backdrop for all the baby's: Diana's, Mica's and Maya's. They are so adorable! General has such beautiful colouring, and I really love the picture of General and Magnolia together ... really nice! The picture of Mica and Maya, captioned "where's your ear" is so cute! lol  Looks like they are playing doctor!

Who is the last bird in your album? There are two pictures of him/her - the last two.

Thanks,Toolady ... they are such gorgeous bundles of feathers!

Abby

Thank you, you two!

Abby, Meesha is a Hispanolian Amazon, one of the smallest and I believe even smaller than the Cuban... Melanie has the Cuban and wanted another small one but it didn't work out so Mike became the parront. The bird hates me when Mike is around, otherwise she's fine when it's just us!... jealous little bugger.....

Annie, I don't suppose you know Meesha's hatchdate?
Wasn't it some time in July? It may have passed already... She is going through a moult, feathers all over the place.. Today I kept her indoors with the other two big Zon's for company...

Etta, Meesha is beautiful!!  I'd love to have her picture in my collection!
I've only seen one of that species in person and it was here in Las Vegas. The bird was in horrible condition!  At first look, I thought it might be species of pionus.
Thanks for sharing!

WOW!!!! Thank you bunches!
I'm still involved in writing the study guides for the Parrot Pals group back home! Meesha will make a great addition to our "I D this Species" pages! I can pretty much bet that most if any have never seen this bird before.
She is so beautiful! Does she want to come to Las Vegas?

Aren't Hispanolians rare? I was visiting with a breeder once and commented that his Hisps looked good and he was shocked that I knew what they were since they are so rare. (I have a very good Amazon ID book.)
He had them on breeder loan from a vet who was too busy to breed them. He asked me not to tell anyone that he had them. Too valuable.
Maybe I am thinking of a different species. It was about 18 years ago.
Meesha is so pretty. I love that baby pic.

They are still quite rare but not as they were a few decades ago. I think the gene pool is still pretty limited.

Usually they go into breeding programs, not sure the status of the species on the Islands. My older son said with the yellowish band on the head he thought Mel was getting a hen. His had a pure white band and was a male...

Either way it makes no difference to Mike as he thinks HER a little cutie.. So affectionate and talks and mimics better than the bigger Amazons. She has many voices, including the other flock members.

She is an array of blue hues, seldom seen unless in flight. Or the sun at an angle to capture the navy's...

Etta your pics are always great.  You have gotten me so confused on all the Baby M names.  Glad you posted Meeshas pic.  She is gorgeous.  I wanted to ask you before which one was Meesha when you mentioned her/him.

I looked at those pics and already forgot the Baby M's.  My mind is gone.  Got to give me a test on them to remember. I can name the other ones though.   I think!

Either way you got a great flock and the pics are fantastic.  Jealous of your setup though.  Your birds look so happy outside.

Indy

Just reread your post and you got more M's  (Mike and Mel) no wonder I'm so mixed up.
