Do any of you have an at home photo printer that you just love (or one that you hate & I should stear clear of that brand) ?

I have a great little Inkjet printer (HP).  Now I want to venture into a photo printer and don't really know where to start researching with all the different brands & models out there. I just want to be able to print some pics to frame around home.  Don't plan to print every single digital picture in my PC inventory.

I already have a scanner for the basics, but it is not high quality- so if someone recommends an all-in-one, I would consider that.  Otherwise, I am fine w/ just a standalone picture printer.  It does not have to be one of the "portable" ones.  A strong preference would be for it to print 8x10 also- many seem to stop at the 5x7 size.

I did look briefly online at the Kodak ESP7- since the ink is supposed to be so much cheaper... but it does not work with non Kodak software (I love my freebie Irfanview) and it does not let you print matte photo's - only glossy... so I think that one is out of the running.

Thanks for any recommendations (or duds to avoid).  I know some of you have already permanently moved over to the new site, so I will repeat this question over there.

I have the HP photosmart 7350, it makes truely awesome prints,  I don't have one with a scanner and other stuff on it. Too worried about "loosing all" if one goes, i have all mine separate, fax, scanner, and printer.
but i do love my printer enough that i talked IT into buying me one to use at work too.  You can imagine the workout it gets here at work and it has never missed a beat!

I just have the Hewlett Packard PSC 1500 All-in-One.  It's a scanner and a copier also....  I'm not actually recommending it per se, but I will say that Hewlett Packard has served me well.  I've had this printer for years, it was under $100, and I've never had any problems with it in any way.
