Mark 16
16:18
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

I would like to praise the Lord for what he did for me this morning. No I did not drink any poison. I know that we can see this natural as we can see it spiritual. But what happened to me this scripture still covers it.

I was out this morning working on my lawn mower, was going to cut the grass one more time before I put the mower up for the winter. The mower would not crank so I figured that I had lost a ground to the battery which I had. The cables going to the battery had became corroded and I could not get them off. So as I begin to try to cut them off which was the only way they were going to be got off, so I cut the ground wire and got it off. I had to do this with a grinding stone and I started on the postive wire, it was a little more trouble than the ground wire and as I was cutting it the battery exploded in my face.

When the battery exploded there was a loud sound like a cannon going off. My neighbor above me was working on a house and when he heard the explosine he came running to see what happened. My daughter who was in the house also came running out to see what had happened. It scared both of them and they thought that the acid from the battery had got in my eyes. But Praise the Lord, I was so close to that battery when it exploded there was no way that the acid could have not gotten in my eyes and all over me. That is when I knew that the Lord's hand had shielded that acid from getting in my eyes and all over me. I did not have but just a tad of acid on my body.

My neighbor and my daughter knew that I was working on the battery and when they heard the explosion that sounded like a cannon going off they had expected the worse because it was such a loud noise. Praise his holy name for his protection and him being my shield when I needed him. Praise the Lord that the righteousness runs into the name of the Lord and there is safety.

Lord I Praise you that I still have my eyesight( natural) but most of all Lord Jesus I Praise you for my spiritual eye sight that I am no longer blind to the things of God. Blessed it be your Holy Name. A 'Name' above every other name. The only  'name' where there is salvation. A name that every knee will bow to and every tongue shall confess that you are the Son of the living God.

Wow.  And I praise our Lord Jesus along with you.  Thank You Lord for keeping Larry safe in this accident.  I know you are with us and walk with us each day.

I would not want to try to get through a single day without His protection around me.  He is there when we need him.  It pays to live by faith.

I am so thankful one day He took over my life and taught me how to live by faith.

I am so glad you are alright, Larry.

Love to you,
Jo

I praise the Lord and Thank You Jesus that Larry
did not suffer acid in the eyes and all over his body.
I pray for healing of Larry's lawnmower.  I am thankful
that Larry was spared the pain that would have come
from an exploding battery!
And remember Larry, God gave us those beautiful
leaves for a winter carpet.  You might just enjoy them
for awhile.  And the grass, it will never quit growing.
So, now that you have to go buy a new battery and
probably wires to go with it...be glad...you will have
a new lawnmower!
You were truly being watched over and made safe.

Yes, yes, Amen!   Thanks you Jesus for shielding Larry's eyes. I don't know if you keep a journal, Larry, but it just came to me, that we shud maybe keep a record of all the times, our Lord has made a change or difference in our life.
This is wonderful.  thank you for sharing.

lolady if I kept a journal the times that the Lord had delivered me and provided for me and my family, we would not be able to lift it but maybe a good idea any how. Maybe one day if I have time I can share some of the things that the Lord has done in my life. It would marvel you. Even when I was a child, I have been in some touchy and tough situations. Matter of fact, I will make time in the near future to tell some of the things that I can Praise God for . That if ....... God ...... Had Not been.... With ME.... I would not be here........ Now......

First of all lolady, let me start at a very young age. We were raised on the cotton mill, our families worked very hard for a living and for the support of their families. We lived right near the cotton mill, and right across from the mill. In this vicinity I almost lost my life on four separate occasions.

So let me begin when I was just a small child. At the mill there was a parking lot where the employees parked their cars. It was in the middle of the summertime…?at a very hot time of the year. Some how or another I wandered off from my Mother. That was very unusual because back then mothers were mothers?. not like they are today. Mothers in those times knew where their children were at all times. I wandered over into the parking lot and crawled in one of those cars…?. and I went to sleep in the middle of the summertime…? on a very hot day ?. with the windows up on the car. Now we know how dangerous that can be to a very young child. No one knowing where I was.

My mother began to miss me and she became very worried when I could not be found. She looked everywhere and when she could not find me ,she sent someone to the mill to get my dad. When they did not find me they became worried and called others in to help find me and they also did not have any success. They had looked everywhere they knew where to look.

About this time, ( this is getting hard for me to because it brings back some good memories of my praying mother) my mother began to pray for her wandering little boy. I don’t remember exactly how it came about whether she or someone else spoke up and said we have looked everywhere. Then my mother remembered that at one time she had to get me from the parking lot before. So she told someone to look in the cars that were in the parking lot. They did and someone shouted, here he is. I was just about dead. I did not have a single dry stitch on my body. He ( the good Lord) led them to me in just in time. See even as a young lad the Lord had his hand of protection on me?. I had a very godly mother and I thank God for her, also had a very good daddy which so many today does not have today. God has been good to me.

Stay tuned for the next episode later.

In a city public swimming pool, under the foot of the lifeguard's platform (he was sitting on it too) I was one step from being over my head.  I took the step....and could not swim.
My big brother was nearby, even though I did not know it.  One time I went under.  I came back up only to go back down again.  I remember a complete peace at that moment...probably 10-11 yrs old...but I knew number 3 would be next.
Up I came again...this is number three!! A big hand grabbed my hand and pulled me into the shallow water.
It was my brother....saved my life.
One of many such stories.

I thank you and appreciate both of you giving us this testimony.  My grandson Eric, is sitting here reading with me and complaining because he wants me to write something of my own testimony;  but it is too late; I am too tired.  Maybe another day.

I truly wish to hear more things each of you have to glorify God with.  I am sure you all have these things in your lives.  Tell them for the glory of God and for our enjoyment and FAITH BUILDING.

Jo and Eric
