Genesis 49:8~~~~ Judah, thou are he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. v9 ~~~ Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? v10 ~~~ The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. v 11 ~~~~~~ Binding his foal unto the VINE, and his ASS'S COLT unto the CHOICE VINE; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: v12 ~~~ His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk. Now, my question is this: who is this prophecy speaking of? If you say it is the man Judah, then how is he the one to whom the father's children shall bow down before? Why do they praise him? How is he the one to whom the gathering of the people shall be? When did the man Judah bind a foal, an ass's colt to a choice vine? What is the choice vine? Where is this fulfilled in Scripture? What does it mean, his eyes shall be red with wine? His teeth white with milk??????? These are very interesting questions, don't you think? Try to get into this as a study; I think you will find it enjoyable. Jo |
