Anubis -Benji

Anubis (Inpew, Yinepu, Anpu) was an ancient Egyptian god of the underworld who guided and protected the spirits of the dead. He was generally depicted as a black jackal-headed man, or as a black jackal.
Egyptians seem to have identified other dogs with this god.

Could Miniature Pinschers actually have been a part of ancient Egyptian culture?  Probably not!  But dogs were very much a part of the ancient civilization, and some breeds that exixt today are thought to have beem a part of that culture.
