Has anyone ever noticed a lump on their pin.  Yesterday, I noticed a soft lump on Bullet's Back.  Is this common for Min Pins.  I read somewhere that small lumps appear on Minp Pins sometimes and this is common.  I plan on taking him to a vet soon.  I need someones comments

we jsut went thru this with gabby awhile back...she had this 'lump' and we had it checked and was told it is a cyst but IF it got bigger or seemed to bother her, then we can have it removed..well, it seemed that it did gete a tad bigger so we went and had it removed..she has a two inch scar on her back but the cyst was fine..non-cancer so that is all that we were worried about...it was soft also so we kinda knew it was a cyst that was filled probably with fluid and all is well..she did just fine..we had her teeth cleaned while she was out too so I think that bothered her more than having stitches in her back..
let us know..but I feel safe in saying that your fur-baby will be fine..

I have heard of fatty tumors on min pins. They just had them removed if they get too big and in a bad area to get rubbed and scraped.

Lexi had something like that.  One day 2 lumps were on her back.  I had one removed and one biopsyed (sp) and a week later the one that was still left was gone.  Just disappeared.  The vet couldn't tell me what it was.  Probably a fatty tumor.  She may have done something that scraped her back and that was the result.  It never came back so I don't know but it wasn't cancerous or anything.  So don't move to panic mode yet.  It may be nothing but always best to get it checked out.

Went to the vets again.  Another vet in the same clinic said it is probably caued by the injection site when he got his rabies shot.  It's going down now.  thanks  everyone.... gerri

You didn't say he just had a rabies shot in the area.Yes,sometimes they get a bit of swelling at injection sites and they get a little lethargic from shots.Glad he's feeling much better and the swelling is going down.

How long ago did he have his rabies shot?  I'm curious because that was a suggestion for Lexi's lump but it was months before that she had her shots.
