IT HAS BEEN A STUPENDOUS JOURNEY.

Subject: Re: AVAIL: Min Pin Puppy in SW Florida - Urgent

have just received a call about a Min Pin that needs
a new home NOW. He is 4-6 mo. old, very good with kids,
and needs his shots. He is currently being kept in
the garage because he pees in the house. The owner is
contemplating putting this puppy in one of the night
>>cages at Animal Control.

We've got a couple of homes up here in Wisconsin , but this baby needs help as soon as POSSIBLE and hopefully local experienced help!!!! Can anyone in the area contact Melissa and try to save this little one???

Thanks!!!

Liz

On the Saluki Min Pin List, a first time reader of Lister's story wrote:

"Omg...I had never read the story of Lister...everything was going great...I was going numb from being glued to the screen for so long reading all the posts on the site. Till I got to the end and saw his fate...NO WAY....I was definately not expecting this...I'm really bummed and disappointed. I was expecting to see recently updated pictures. But to find out he hardly lived to be 1! I'm quite annoyed and angered now..."

I prefer to remember how Lister Orion Saluki was brought into our world and what we have accomplished because of this one little dog. Strangers were united in a common goal ?to save this dog. And because of this one dog ?look at all we have accomplished ?we have truly become the persons our dogs think we are. Is it a sad story? The end is, but I always want to go back to what we have accomplished. What could have torn us apart and brought an end to our group before we had a chance to make such a difference, made us stronger and more committed. Instead of letting our anger, hurt, sadness, and deep disappointment envelop us, we kicked ass?and we continue to do so to this day. Do not dwell on the dark side as it will inch its way into your very core. Instead look at the people who formed this wonderful organization and see if you can't find a way to help continue the fight to save just one more. IMPS is not just about rescue and fostering, it is about much more than that and if you are interested in pitching in ?you would be amazed how many things you can do ?not just fostering ?and grab hold of that wallet once in a while and let a donation fly in memory of that little dog whose story made you cry.

Pat

Today IMPS has over 1,400 volunteers covering the United States and Canada . Since that fateful day in 1998, over 11,000 Miniature Pinschers have crossed our doors.

Quite an accomplishment for little Lister...
