OK, I need some advice. My min is 4yrs old and has been pretty good about not going in the house. She has had some accidents but not many ... UNTIL NOW!!!!!! We have purchased our first home and moved into it 3 wks ago. She went a little bit when we first brought her over. She was excited so I understand. Now she is just going when she feels like it. She dosen't ask to go out she just goes. Tonight she went in our other dogs crate and peeded. The other dog is a lab mix and he hasn't had any problems. Hubby wants to get rid of her. How can I make her an outdoor dog??? I just can't give my problem to someone else. Any advice?????? Thanks |

It could be the move to a new, different place with new smells. Is the carpet new or older from previous previous occupents? She might be smelling something and sets her off to pee on that spot.We put laminate flooring throughout our house except for our bedroom.Whe my four year old girl Jesse comes into the livingroom I have to shut our bedroom door 'cause she'll run around the bed and pee on the rug on hubbys side of the bed. They sell an off spray to spray around areas. She might be upset with moving from her old place to a new place and new smells.Have to be persistant in retraining her to go outside with praise and treats.I know when I take my two pins outside to their fenced run area one will pee first and the other will pee right over that area. |

Thanks for that. The whole house is hardwood. Do you think she could have a bladder or kidney thing going on??? |

That would be a good thing to have her checked out for a bladder infection.Have you also tried to put a potty pad down on the floor to see if she would use that? |

sounds to me like it could be 1 of 3 things, marking in her new house, a bladder infection, or stress from the move, take a urine sample to the vet, its like 20 bucks and go from there, good luck brenda and the pins. |

How did you know her other name??? Really it is little S... but fart works just as well! Thanks for my first morning laugh! She seems to be doing better. We are watching her every move. Maybe she just got over excited or something, who knows! |
