Here are pics I took of our weird snow storm here.Still light snow with about a foot and a half outside of snow.Cricket, one year old Miniature Pinscher girl, is in the window looking at the little birdies seeking seeds under the bushes. When I first opened the blinds to let her see the snow she started shaking looking at the snow all over. Here are the two pages of the pics in Webshots: http://good- times.webshots. com/album/ 569272558VIhtob |

How long was it before the snow melted and did you like it? It's always pretty when the snow covers everything. Cute Cricket watching the birds. We have several huge overgrown Juniper shrubs which a rabbit lives under. Spinnner always looks at the rabbit like "who are you?", but doesn't chase it. The dachshund chases it, but is too fat to catch it. Sometimes the rabbit lays in the sun on a hillside right next to the dog pen and teases the dachshund. Looks right at the dog like .."Ha Ha, you can't chase me now". |

We started getting all the snow on Wednesday the 17th and it was starting to melt the 21st and 22nd.Hubby drove on top of the snow and packed it down and made an ice path.So I couldn't drive my Explorer on it until the ice melted on the 23rd.That's when I had to work at the ranch in the morning and do my Xmas shopping after.I'm used to driving in snow.I was born in Ohio and left there when I was about 23.I used to drive my old junker cars with bald tires in K-Mart parking lot when they close on Sunday.I'd slide around the parking lot and have fun.And about those darn rabbits.I wish my two outside dogs would not hunt them down and eat them. They give the boys tapeworms. And we have those Jack Rabbits too.they're big. |

I've always been told the flea is the host of tapeworms so those rabbits have fleas. My barn cats used to get tapeworms, but they don't eat what they hunt anymore. I kind of like the rabbit. Bought it some carrots which it refused. Then bought it apples which it likes. Was going to buy it a bag of corn, but husband asked me it if was nuts (there's a corn field behind us and always some corn they missed). I hate the ice! Husband has fell down on it 3 X in 3 weeks injuring shoulder, ribs, wrist, elbow and knee. There's a thick layer of ice on top of the snow. We've never seen it this bad. Everyone is falling down and a guy we know hit his head when he fell and was knocked unconscious. |

We are from NJ and are used to snow a few times a year. I find it funny that you guy's never get SNOW. I feel bad about your friend falling 3 x and getting hurt. My 2 little girls (Patty & Pebbles) both 3 years old this past Dec. don't even like to go outside to pee when it is raining let alone snowing. We put their winter coats on them in the morning before they even go out. By that time they have already gone to the bathroom on their puppy pads. They run out for about 1 min. and they are back in and under the electric throw on the couch. They are so spoiled. My mom is 72 and retired and with them all of the time, their every waking hour. They love there mommy. I am their sissy (sister). My husband and I have no children, they are our kids. I purchased a rescue calander this year for my mom for Christmas. It was great. We have been thinking of taking in a rescue. Mom says don't look for one wait for one to come to us. My mom only want's a little girl that our girls can teach. I think they are at great age to take on a young sister . We only want a small little girl , our girls are very over weight but they only stand about 12" tall. I don't want to sound picky but we are willing to give a great home to a needy little girl. o.K. Talk to ya soon, Marie (Patty & Pebbles), Paulsboro, NJ |

Yes it is o.k. to give my email address. I also thank you for the food tips. They eat Science Diet small bites every morning and every evening for dinner. But, they do get during the day a little of what mom eats. They are her babies and I keep telling her she is loving them to death and she thinks it is o.k. I guess it could be worse. at least they are fat and happy like the rest of us. LOL and very spoiled. They are under cover girls every night. It is a bad thing for them but it could be worse. Right ? What a life for them...
Thanks, Marie ( Patty & Pebbles) Paulsboro, NJ |
