Hi, My names Brenda, and I'm new to the group, am looking fwd to lots of info.  I work Min Pin Rescue in So. Mississippi, with my husband.    We rescued our first "Gabby" after a neighbor who was a byb ran over her with his truck and was going to shoot her instead of taking her to a vet.  She's been our baby for about 7 years now, and rules the house.  We also have a Doberman and a Lab Mix, 2 rescued cats.  We later got involved with IMPS and rescued 6 Pins from one house and ultimately adopted 2 from IMPS and 1 other, a little girl about 6 weeks old at the time.

 

So we're a 6 dog 2 cat 2 human family.

 

We have a large dog run about 1/4 acre, and a small play area for the pins.  Everyone get along fine.   We've had a few health problems, as Gabby is a special needs Pin and our Will, is too.  He came to use from a puppy mill in Ala. and was abused by the man there.  It took weeks for him to settle down and get accustomed to all the other pups.  He was afraid of everything.  But is doing well now.  He and Gabby are both on special diets due to ongoing health probs.

 

I just read Gigi's msg from the msg board.  We also live in the country, and have to watch for Hawks.  We never let our babies have the run of the property.  If they're outside, one of us is with them, they're on a leash, or in their puppy play area.

 

I'm thrilled to be a member of this group.  It's amazing how much information we share online.  I look forward to hearing from you all.
