Good Morning Chambers,
This has been a week that I hope I do not ever have to repeat. I am so tired today and I know it is just coming down from all the emotion.
I "trimmed" the roles at L&S after sending out pleas for the lurkers to be active and at least make an appearance to let e know that they wanted to remain a member...after a week and two more letters, I went through the roster and it went from 51 members to 24. I am glad it is over but is always so hard for me to have to do. I go through a gammit of emotions with each member as they all are so special. But to keep the coven strong, it is necessary to allow those that are not interested in the welfare and future of L&S to find a group that they can more associate with.
Last Wednesday I had 7 teeth pulled and my upper denture placed ...(I am still unable to chew as the pain is excrusiating.) While I was there, I got the phone call from my daughter that Mike (Ted's brotherand my brother-in-law) passed away. He turned 64 last month. I ran home, 60 miles away, packed a few things and made a fast contact to Q to let her know I was going to be away. I was trying not to pass out for the meds of the extractions were starting to fade leaving me with a bleeding mouth full of stitches and I had to leave to go tell Ted of his brother's passing...(a four hour trip from home and rest). I arrived there at about 9pm.Ted was already in bed but awoke as I entered the camper. I delivered the news and as haggered as I was, the Goddess and theenergy the coven was sending me, allowed me to console and hold my husband in his sorrow. We talked and cried and just held each other as the night ebbed away.
Ted decided to go ahead and go to work, since they are short-handed, but would try to get off early so we could make some arrangements and contact necessary people.. I admit..I took pain meds and slept after he left at 5am. It was a restless sleep though as I was not used to the camper bed and the unfamiliar surroundings made it hard to relax.
When he got off work, we contacted family and Mike asked that there not be a service and that he be immediatly cremated and his ashes be spread over the family ranch. So we will not be making the trip to Montana.
At any rate, I stayed another night and then journeyed back home. Yesterday I worked outside a bit and let the high winds just blow through me and take away the pain and worry that seems to be so ramant with Murcury's retrograde right now.
So , Chambers, thank you for always being here for me to come to when I need to just let things out. It really helps to know your sturdy walls are standing strong here for me and the others to come and feel safe.
Thank you...Today I will begin again...and know that things are getting better and better every day.
