Sorry I haven't reported recently. Saturday was a total washout for being on the computer. It started with a funeral and ended with the Emergency Room. No really it started with Mama falling down on the asphalt Friday and not listening to me and David to go to the ER Friday. It seems while I was at the Dr.'s Friday she took her dog out to use the bathroom, and when they were coming back the dog went on one side of the post and she went on the other and the dog pulled her down, I say she tripped over the asphalt. Well she hit her head, the side of her face and has the most beautiful black eye on the right side. She looks a mess. Well I was concerned about a possible concussion or a bone around the eye was broke, but no she's not going to the hospital. Well Sat. we had the funeral of a dear friend and she did go to that, with me driving of course. Came home and then took her to get her glasses fixed where she bent and scratched the heck out of them. Well the lady at Lenscrafters told her that maybe she should go and be checked out. So at 3:00PM we went and sat until 7:00PM to find out that there wasn't anything wrong. In fact the jerk that saw her didn't do x-rays or anything, just had her to follow his finger and talked to her. They didn't even take her Temp, or BP until after 2 hours of being there. We have something called Fast Track where you can be seen without having to go the whole route of the ER. We have something called a JOKE!!!!. The dog well she's a wennier-dog weighs about 16 pounds and is strong but not strong enough (I think) to pull her down that's why I say she tripped. Mama is weak and does stummble around some (89). Well I'm going to watch her for a while and we might just be going back to see the wizard again.

On the down beat Dr. says I'm doing as good as he expected and I don't have to come back unless I have another problem. And oh yeah you'll just have to learn to live with the foot pain and numbness. It's probably coming from scar tissue where I had my operation. Then why was it there when I woke up from my surgery? Inquiring minds wants to know. Did I heal that fast from the OR to the room? I don't think so!!!!!!!

Oh Cynthia!  I'm so sorry to hear about your Mama...at 89...well my Mom was up in years and her little dog used to trip her up all the time   I just wish 'little dogs' would learn to adapt to older people better...but they are...after all...animals.

As far as your foot goes...I'm wishing you good luck...but if your area is anything like my area in southwestern Virginia...the docs don't listen...and I think they don't listen because they really don't know what to do about certain things...but I certainly would try a different doc to see what he/she says.  My family doc has one more chance...and I may be looking for a doc that specializes in Internal Medicine...

Sorry to hear about your Mom Cynthia.....those animals do get in the way.  How is she today?
I just don't get some doctors either..some are excellent others I swear treat people like cattle through a shoot.  Your foot thing I agree does not make any sense at all.  Can you get a second opinion on it?

I hope your Mom is doing better Cynthia.  You are lucky she is still able to be up and about.  If she wasn't paying attention the dog could easily have made her lose her balance.  They can be pretty strong if they catch you off guard.
