This is Michigan's Indian Summer! We've had two frosts already, so we qualify! hehehe

Today, tomorrow and Sunday are ALL supposed to be sunny and in the low 70's!

I've entered myself in a chili cook-off tomorrow. I'm making a white chicken chili (I know! That's not REAL chii!) This isn't an official Chili Society sanctioned cook-off, so White Chili is a category! All proceeds always benefit a local charity, this year will be Flat River Outreach Ministry. I really look forward to this and stand a 1 in 4 chance of winning the White Chili (only four entered in this category so far!) This is my fourth year and I have a BLAST every time. It's just a fun, fun time.

I'll post pictures next week, hopefully holding up my award! hehehe

It's chili made with Northern white beans instead of red kidney beans. There's no tomato, but green pepper, green chilies, jalapeno, celery and chicken and "secret" spices like cumin, chili powder. The liquid comes from both the northern beans and chicken stock. It's pretty good. I found some chipotle marinated chicken breasts at Gordon Food Service....I think that could be my winning ticket! We'll see!
