My sons name was Bryce. He was 4 years old when he went to heaven. He had red hair and blue eyes.
Bryce was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer 1 month before he turned 3.
It shattered our whole world. You always say that won't happen to our children.
When it does your in complete shock. We never showed him how scared we were.
The type of cancer he had was called atypical taritoid rabdoid tumor (ATRT).
It's what they call a peschool cancer.Only children 2 and under usually only get this.
Also maybe a few adults ever get this.It so happened he got the rarest of them all.
The suvial rate is 6 out of 36 children survive.Bryce went though alot of treatment.
He went through 52 weeks of chemo.Boy was he a trooper during that whole time.
He just liked the fact that all the nurses would fight about who would take care of him when he came
For his stays. He went a whole year with no problems. So we had his central line removed.
Two weeks later we had an mri.Two weeks after that .We got he bad news. The cancer came back.
This time it came back in his spine.Reality really sat in.We knew what was to come.
He started having seasures.Back and forth to the hospital all the time. But not once did he ever frown.
I stayed at the hosp for two months. The hardest thing was when he looked at me and said"Mommy
i'm gonna die.I had to leave the room. You never think your going to hear your child say them words.
But he knew.He was the only one who knew when.He gave us three more weeks after that.
We had to make the worst choice as parents don't want to make.We had to take him off support.
I got to see his eyes one last time.I listened to his heart beat one last time.He was with us 6 more hours then he went to heaven. He always had this saying when he got up in the mornig.
"The suns up"Well thats the time he went.Almost like a last goobye.

Dear Tina.....I got a lump in my throat as I read your story....I really feel for you and the decision you had to make....but, I know it was the right decision...for all of you.  And.....I am sure that, for Bryce, "THE SUN'S UP".
Love and hugs...Rean
