My J.D.

Where did James come up with J.D. from?  His daddy's name was Carl Dean.....James never really liked his middle name of Irvin...named after my dad....when he was about 12 him and some of his friends were all making up as they called it.....initial names for themselves.....James came home that night and said hey mom, you can call me "J.D." now.....the J for James and the D for his daddy....it just always stuck with him....Even on his headstone it is....

JAMES IRVIN "J.D." SCROGGINS

I never really called him J.D. much...however a lot of people only knew him by J.D.
