Rachel's Road..........

We all have a road to travel
as we walk this planet earth...
we sleep, we play, we laugh and cry...
beginning at our birth.

We rush through our days so quickly...
time passes into years...
We fret about many little things...until
we are suddenly jolted to tears.

Oh, sweet little one, precious baby...
do you know how much you mean,
to your family, friends, and even
to those you've never seen?

Pain and misery, sickness and tears...
seem so cruel and very unfair,
especially coming to one so young...
the grief is a challenge to bare.

Life has changed...no longer the same...
security ripped away...
People are stunned...hearts are breaking...
hardly knowing what to say.

Then, we look at a little miracle...
look straight into her eyes...
We see her joy, her love of life...
Our hearts fill up....we wonder why?

We see strong will and determination...
that take her through each day...
along with great love from mom and dad...
she's in their hearts to stay.

What a little fighter!
What a gift of joy is she!
A strong heart and unbeatable spirit...
a soul that's beautifully free!

So, we drop to our knees
and thank God above...
for giving us Rachel
to hold and to love.

We pray that He may
grant her great peace...
that her zest for life
will never cease!

May He give her smiles
on happy days...
Strength and comfort
when pain comes her way.

May He lift her up
on eagle's wings...
and soar with her
as guardian angels sing.

Make her to shine...
just like the sun...
Give strength and peace...
let her have some fun!

Hold her in the palm of His hand...
as she travels down this road...
and know that she is not alone
to bare this heavy load.

Her family and friends, and many unknown...
hold her tightly in their hearts...
constantly praying and always believing...
that God is doing His part.

Little Rachel...precious one...
you and your family are not alone...
many are with you...heart to heart...
as we travel Rachel's Road.
