Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this another day! Thank you for the shining sun today! Lord, I ask you to guide me throughout this day, and help me to be a blessing to others. Father, I know that your plan for me is for good and not for evil, as also for others.Help me Lord to get everything done that needs doing today, give me the strength and annointing to do it. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen

Here I read about the genealogy of Jesus and His birth.
That He was born of the virgin Mary. That Joseph was told in a dream to take her to be his wife, and not put her away because the Child was of the Holy Spirit.
Also the wise men came from the East after seeing a star telling them about the birth of the King.
Herod was king at the time and he inquired of the wise men concerning the birth of Jesus. Herod feared that Jesus was coming to take over his throne. When the wise men did not return to Herod to tell him where Jesus was, he had all boy babies under the age of two killed. There was an outcry from those whose babies were killed. There was much lamentation, weeping and great mourning.
God spoke to Josheph in a dream to depart and go to Egypt. Joseph listened to God when He spoke to him! He took Mary his wife and the Child to Egypt. Then when Herod was dead God spoke to Joseph again through a dream to tell him to return to
Israel. They settled in the region of Galilee in the city of Nazareth.

There should be in my opinion a great outcry for the babies that are killed in our time through abortion or other means.
We need to listen when God speaks to us! He may do it through dreams like as with Joseph. He may speak through His written or preached Word. He may speak to us through a still small voice to our spirit. He may speak, through devotionals, or friend's advise. By two or three witnesses we can hear the voice of the Lord. God always has something important to say, we need to listen and obey!
