The Rapture (Part 2)

And what did Paul mean when he wrote, "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep" (1Thess 4:14-15)?

Did Paul know what was what? Or did Paul try to deceive us? You be the judge In addition, Jesus told his followers, "Where I go you cannot come" (John 13:33) and, "I will come again, and receive you unto myself" (John 14:3).

John wrote, "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven" (John 3:13).

And Paul added, "Christ the firstfruits; afterwards they that are Christ’s at his coming" (1 Cor 15:23). Who are "they that are Christ’s"? The answer is in Gal 5:24, "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."

Those who crucify the flesh are called OVERCOMERS in the Bible. OVERCOMERS means they crucified their flesh. It means they are beyond doubt. It means they are tried and true. It means they were proven by fire. It means they were martyred for Christ‘s sake.

Matt 10:39, --He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Rev 12:11, . . --and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Rev 20:4, . . --I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. ----In other words, the bride of Christ, of the early and latter church generations, who crucified their fleshly nature. Like Jesus did.

We find in Rev 2 and 3 God’s seven sets of promises to those who OVERCOME the flesh.

Rev 2:7, --To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Rev 2:1, --He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. GUARANTEED ETERNAL LIFE.

Rev 2:17 --To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Rev 2:26-28, --And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the morning star. THE 1000-YEAR REIGN.

Rev 3:5, --He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Rev 3:12, Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is New Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
