 Was The Old Testament Sacrificial Lamb A Symbol Of Jesus Christ, The Messiah?

"They asked him, "Then why are you baptizing [see Baptism], if you are neither the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?"

Will God, Through The Lamb, Cause Great Events
On A Sinful World In The End Time?

"I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth; and He went and took the scroll from the right hand of Him who was seated on the throne.

"And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before The Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints [see What Is A Saint?]; and they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy art Thou to take the scroll and to open its seals, for Thou wast slain and by Thy blood didst ransom men for God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and hast made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on earth."

"Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is The Lamb Who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!"

"And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all therein, saying, "To Him Who sits upon the throne and to The Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might for ever and ever!"

"When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" "And out came another horse, bright red; its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that men should slay one another; and he was given a great sword."

"When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" And I saw, and behold, a black horse, and its rider had a balance in his hand; and I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not harm oil and wine!"

"When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!"

Is The Lamb Going To Return?

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken [see Signs In The Heavens and A Huge Mountain, All Ablaze]; then will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory [see The Return Of Jesus Christ]; and He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Matthew 24:29-31 RSV)

"On that day His feet shall stand on The Mount Of Olives which lies before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley; so that one half of the Mount shall withdraw northward, and the other half southward." (Zechariah 14:4 RSV)

"Then I looked, and lo, on Mount Zion stood The Lamb, and with Him a hundred and forty-four thousand who had His Name and His Father's Name written on their foreheads." (Revelation 14:1 RSV)
