I am too embarrassed to tell

Oh what the heck...When I was still in the ministry I was working with a small rural congergation. It was one of those nice warm April Sundays when we kept the front door open to allow the breeze and any stragglers to come in and circulate (the breeze not the folks). During the invitation hymn I was standing at the front prepared to receive any who dared come forward. Well not came...well thats not quite true a beautiful, gorgeous but pregnant cat walked down the asile and stopped right in front of me and...none too quietly meowed right in the middle of the hymn. Well since you can't really baptize a cat I adopted her. That was my first convert. Others folloed but they were huma.

One more? Ok...There was this minister I knew in northern Ontario. The congergation he was with had a guest speaker and the day was going to go like this
10am Sunday School
11am Worship services
12pm-1:30pm pot luck dinner
2pm-3pm another service
What is the most popular food at a pot luck? BEANS! and more beans. YES! The guest speaker got up to preach and he suddenly felt the urge to let out a little "steam" so he backed away from the microphone so the sound wouldn't travel. As he backed away towards the in ground baptistry he didn't know until it was too late that the microphone behind him was on. Ever hear musical beans in surround sound? I hear it was a blast.

One more than I gotta go and some more work. In our churches we have the Lord's Supper every Sunday and certain men volunteer to present a "table talk" before  partaking in communion. In one congergation an older gentleman got up and presented his table talk. During this time his wife, sitting in the front pew, was trying to signal her hubby that his zipper was open. However, the poor man didn't understand what his wife was doing. He just happened to look down and saw his "problem" and thinking quickly he asked the congergation to bow their heads as he prayed. He took the opportunity to zip up without anybody noticing...until he walked away dragging the table cloth with him securley caught you know where.
All the above are true by the by
