Before You Heard
"I saw you." (from John 1:48)

Maybe you came to Jesus because someone told you about him. But Jesus saw you right where you were, before anyone told you about him.
By God's grace, he gave each of us who follow him the desire. As he says, "I have been found by those who did not seek me; I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me." (Rom 10:20)
In truth you can say, "Jesus, the Son of God, loved me and gave himself for me." (Gal 2:20) There is great joy at his word, "Before you heard of me, I saw you." Let's pray.
Lord Jesus, thank you for being the One that comes and seeks those who are lost. We would have no hope, except that you came and found us, before we knew the joy in your salvation.
Help us Lord Jesus to follow you, growing in the joy of your love. Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
Those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. (Rom 8:29)
We have God's Word on it.
