Help During Trouble
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea. (Psalm 46:1,2)

The stock market, banks, 401k's, credit, jobs, mortgages, and government are troubled. Like Elijah who hid when Jezebel wanted him killed, we are subject to fear.
He went and hid out in a cave. And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" (1Kings 19:9) And Elijah told the Lord all his complaints and troubles.
Christian, let's remember Jesus, our security... "In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and grief to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Lord Jesus, thank you for your mercy, for coming to us in our fear and frustration. According to your promise, grant that we would walk in your peace as we surrender each of our troubles to your promise. Thank you for your faithfulness- for the peace we have in you. Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
"I will never leave you nor forsake you." (see Heb 13:5)
You have God's Word on it.
