Your Portion
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal" (Mat 6:19)
_____________
Money's dwindling, and there is uncertainty in our economic future. But Christian this is our assurance- "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." (Lam 3:24).
"Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal." (Mat 6:20) The Lord is our portion.
The worst of struggles are slight compared with your inheritance in Christ Jesus. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. (2Cor 4:17-18) Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, thank you for making a way for us in Christ. We could never earn this which is this beyond anything we could ask or imagine. Thank you for Jesus who gave himself by your good pleasure to make us your own. All things you have given over to Christ, and he is our portion, therefore we will hope in him. Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
"Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Mat 6:21)
We have God's Word on it.
