November 2008 This is the beginning of the November Sign in Fellowship Thread Come in as often as you can ..do not wait till someone else gets here first..just let yourself come on and bless the group with a little "hi", "bye", good morning, good night, or just whatever you want to say..it's fun to fellowship and as believers and followers of the Lord we need the fellowship of one another. Your encouragement can mean so much when one is down the other one will lift us up. We all have our down moments..I am just like you and have those times too..lets just love and encourage one another here in this thread. God Bless each and everyone!!

Top Ten Signs You're in for a Long Sermon
- 10 - There's a case of bottled water beside the pulpit in a cooler.
- 9 - The pews have camper hookups.
- 8 - You overhear the pastor telling the sound-man to have a few (dozen!) extra tapes on hand to record today's sermon.
- 7 - The preacher has brought a snack to the pulpit.
- 6 - The preacher breaks for an intermission.
- 5 - The bulletins have pizza delivery menus.
- 4 - When the preacher asks the deacon to bring in his notes, he rolls in a filing cabinet.
- 3 - The choir loft is furnished with La-Z-Boys.
- 2 - Instead of taking off his watch and laying it on the pulpit, the preacher turns up a four-foot hour-glass.
- AND THE NUMBER ONE SIGN YOU'RE IN FOR A LONG SUNDAY SERMON.
- 1 - The minister says, "You'll be out in time to watch the Super Bowl" -- but it's only November!

| What a great story.........with tounge in cheek, thank-you Aalie........it brings to mind the city-wide ecumenical service I attended last nite at an unfamliliar church with familiar Christians........12 different leaders of various demoninations proved How Great Mine and Your Lord is as we celebrated Thanksgivings. I prayed for this group and the YUKU one too. Anyway the service was a short two-hours long. I'm still amazed @ His presence with the congregation. Thank-you for letting me share and have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends everyone! brother tim ps...what time is the chat on Friday? taken |

Good morning guys, I'm sure all of you are still fast asleep. Wishing all of you a very Happy Thansgiving!! Justread in an American newspaper "The Republican American " (found this on the internet) that it is good to celebrate Thanksgiving with Belgian beer instead of drinking wine!! I never drink beer, so I canot promote a certain brand. Aalie, ok for the chat tomorrow.Black Friday... didn't know about this. For the ladies in the group: I hope you all get some help in the kitchen!!Must be a lot of work to prepare turkey, cakes and whatever you eat. God bless you all! eelya |

Hello Ellen..I am glad you made it safely home..and yes it is difficult to lose a loved one..I have been throught it a lot of the times..and the Holidays without them is hard..but throughout the years it does get better and the Lord brings healing..and leaves all the good memories of our loved ones...and that is good! It is also good to talk about your loved ones because that will aide you in the grieving process. So anytime you or anyone wants to talk about a loved who went home to be with the Lord by all means do so. Thank you Eelya for the Thanksgiving wish..beer with the Thanksgiving meal...I do not think so!!! Not even wine!! At least not in our family..we have no such tradition. Turkey, Ham, Mashed Potatoes/gravy, Macroni/cheese, noodles, rolls, baked corn casserole, Sweet potato casserole, green beans/potatoes, pumpkin, pecan and other pies, other vegies, and fruits..plus a numerous of other things is what we had for dinner today..and then you feel like taking a nap afterwards... I got home early..because I rode with one of my daughters and she had other obligations this evening so I came home early..our next big family celebration will be Christmas Eve...at another daughter's house. They always take turns..as they have a bigger place then I do. Well Every one I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving Day..and remember to give thanks for His blessings and share with others the blessings He has given you. And don't forget to give thanks everyday after today..because as Christians we need to thank God daily..and in everything!! Love, Aalie |

And don't forget to give thanks everyday after today..because as Christians we need to thank God daily..and in everything!! Amen Sister Aalie. I hope everyone had a pleasant day and had a unique situation placed in your life. Everyones' day had a different experience and remember well that it was ordained by God. ps: Sister Aalie----did your daughter take you into the house in a wheel barrow ??? lol That was some dinner. I would have passed on the macroni and cheese and saved that one for saturday night. |

Good morning dear CF family, Aalie, about that beer, I don't like it either. A lot of delicious things you had yesterday.I can imagine you like to take a nap afterwards.I would do the same. But when yo have family coming over for donner, it's difficult to say: I'm gonna take a nap. See you in the Yuku chatroom this evening. Ellen, I'm glad you returned home safe.I can imagine it was hard for you to sing at your mom's funeral. It hurts to lose a loved one, even if she's now with the Lord. Sonwell, Aalie, I fully agree. We should thank God for everything every day. We cannot thank Him enough for all He gives us, day after day. hello to all the other members, have a very blessed day! eelya |

Hello all Christ Followers..I maybe was asleep when you posted Eelya..don't know I did get up at 8:00AM this morning..looked outdoors and there was a blanket of snow on the ground and still snowing. So I fixed a pot of coffee..took a shower and wet outdoors to shovel some snow..and clean off my car..there was snow all over it. They did shovel the sidewalks to the car...so that was good..but not around the car so I had to shovel it..then cleaned off the car and had to shovel some more that dropped from the car. Then came back in the house has some coffee and my breakfast..then went to church. The Lord did move wonderfully as some more folks came to the altar to receive Christ as their personal Savior. After the service we had our fifth Sunday Social..its was our Holiday Dinner for the church. Then I helped clean up afterwards. So now I am home and need to take a nap after a while. Sonwell they did not have to wheelbarrow me in the house the otherday..I thank the Lord I did not eat everything on Thanksgiving Day that was there to be had..I just took a little that I wanted ..and that was it..I just told you all what we had..only I did not eat all that..lol..yes if I had I surely would not be able to walk for quite a while. I thank the Lord that He provided so much for us..and thank Him also for the good sense of not eating it all ..Amen? We have to eat to live..and we should not live to just eat..what purpose would there be in that? Scottie thanks for stopping by and greeting us..hope you and Flo are doing well. God Bless everyone who stopped by even if you did not sign in..at least you know what's going on..right? Will be checking by again later. Much Love, Aalie |

Psalms 118 | - 118:14
- The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
Have a great week. Make sure you have your SWORD with you when you go out shopping this week. And keep up that sense of humor because lo and behold the worst of people can come out this time of year. Take your time, be relaxed, and look people right in the eye. Then let your spiriutal radar take over. I'm glad for you that you had your grandson this weekend Sandy. Yes, they are our great blessings from Father. As for Aalie I just don't know. All that running around and eating leftovers and shovelling snow. I think she just might need a private chauffeur. And now she's going away for a few days. (Do you think she's bailing la our of jail again ?). Our hearts are with her no matter where she goes. Sandy---do you know what to do if msn bans the site ?? Is there a phone number we can use to get back ?? well, it will work out---I'm sure. Everyone have a wonderful week and make sure you post while Sister Aalie is gone. Gods' blessings to all. | |

Ha ha ..Sandy..Ha ha that was a big typo..sorry about that. That was supposed to be WENT not wet!!! Glad you got to chat awhile with Alive..anytime you want to chat with someone..just go in there and wait a while... someone will most likely show up..if you wait long enough that is. That goes for Sonwell too..he could get in there and someone will most like check to see who is in there. Just to let you guys know..I am not shopping this week..when I am gone I will be babysitting for my adult grandaughter..as she cannot be left alone due to seizures. Her husband and my daughter and son-in-law are all going to some kind of financial seminar..so I will going there on Wednesday to Friday..and I should be home on Sat. at least. If I can get on their computers I will check in..but I am not sure what the situation will be like...so most likely do not expect me to be here.. and I know I will be leaving the group in good hands...so I am not worried! I think Sandy has my cell phone # and she can get a hold of me any time..if she does not have it she can contact LA cause she does have it..but I think LA is policing the whole Internet..cause we have not seen her for quite some time...unless someone caught up with her..I have not yet..I will try to call her tomorrow..as its been a week or longer since I have heard from her...in fact I have not even heard from Deanna in a long time either..did send her an IM the other day but have not heard back from her. I am trying to work on some Christmas pages for the yuku group..but Deanna is not around to advise me..so I am trying to work on them on my own. I get the HTML in there oK and the text url and all that stuff..but when I actuelly place it in a page like for the new sign in sheet it won't work right. So I am struggling..but trying. Well got to get to bed here soon..I have an appointment in the afternoon..and we are supposed to have snow again after midnight..so I may have more shoveling to do in the morning. So good night my dear CF friends. Love, Aalie |
