Today's Scripture *November 25, 2008*
Colossians 1:8
He has told us about the love for others that the Holy Spirit has given you.
Because of their love for one another, Christians can have an impact that goes far beyond their neighborhoods and communities.
Christian love comes from the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ) The Bible speaks of it as an action and attitude, not just an emotion.
Love is a by-product of our new life in Christ.
Romans 5: 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. ; 1 Corinthians 12) Christians have no excuse for not loving, because Christian love is a decision to act in the best interest of others.
O God, we praise You and thank You for Your love!
Thank You for the Holy Spirit that comes and fills us with the love we need to be Christian brothers and sisters!
Help us to act in love and kindness toward one another. In Jesus' Name, Amen..
