- 118:5
- In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free.
Good morning to everyone who passes through here.
When I used to run into this scripture I always thought of one being in deep, deep, terrible sin. And then being set free from that sin. That certainly is the core of this verse but just stop and think of the person ( who --me ??) who is in a mall parking lot and is driving around and around looking for that empty parking space and finally loses it all and flies into a verbal rage. That's just as scary as any sin---isn't it ? So I'd have to say that being set free from anguish appies to every "little" circumstance that happens in our everyday mundane lives. So the next time that "little" thing happens to you recall Gods' Word and "know" that you are set free.
Have a great day.
ps: has anyone seen any salvation army kettles at all ? Remember those small little bands who played christmas carols ? I hope they haven't succumed to this world yet.
