Dear --------
We just heard the latest about wrongfully imprisoned GFA missionary
Manja. Today when our brothers from the field went to Nepali Supreme Court
officials, they heard a verdict from the judges that he would not be
released. Now GFA leaders are planning an appeal to the King of Nepal on
Manja's behalf. Earnestly pray for God's wisdom to be given to our
brothers. Pray also for King Gyanenbra's heart to be receptive. Our Nepal
field leader believes God will answer our prayers.
Though sad and deeply disappointed upon hearing the verdict, Manja
responded with trust in the Savior. "God is in control," he stated. "God
has a plan and in His sovereign grace and foreknowledge allowed some of
His chosen servants to be put in prison." He went on to say that even in
prison, he will keep witnessing for the Lord and leading others to
Christ. Do continue to pray for our dear brother as he carries out the
ministry entrusted to him. Praise God that a number of his cellmates have
already come to Christ through his witness. May the Lord's comfort and
encouragement be very real to Manja and his family at this time. We will
keep you posted as we receive further details.
Yours for the unreached millions,
