Gospel for Asia Update - His Drinking Almost Destroyed His Home ------------------------------------------------------------- April 05, 2005 - Vol. V Issue 8 - 175,000 Subscribed -------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Aalie, For the next few moments I want to take you with me to a South Indian village where you will meet a man by the name of Kumaran. I think you will be amazed as you hear his story, especially when you remember that Kumaran represents millions of lost men and women in the 10/40 Window who still wait to hear about Jesus for the first time.
In addition to his spiritual darkness, Kumaran had an alcohol addiction that nearly destroyed his home and family. His wife and children cowered in fear, never knowing when he would be in his drunken state yet again—or what he would do next.
But then one day Kumaran heard about Jesus—and that is when his family’s new life of hope began. The Lord had sent GFA missionary Sunil to minister to the hurting family. Kumaran was deeply moved as he listened to the simple truths of the Gospel. And he gladly received Jesus as Savior, as did his family. Because a native missionary reached his village, Kumaran’s story is one of God’s transforming power.
Yet, Kumaran is just one of millions who still need to hear the Good News. I thank God for 14,500 GFA native missionaries who are laboring to reach villages with His hope and plant churches—even at the risk of persecution. To learn how you can help send even more of these courageous men and women out to help rebuild families like Kumaran’s, please click here: http://www.gfa.org/sponsor?motiv=WA54-G1SPMay our Lord bless you abundantly as you serve Him today.
Yours on behalf of the unreached,
K.P. Yohannan Founder & President Gospel for Asia
