[GFA Update] GFA Responds to Deadly Earthquake

Dear Aalie,
A relief team of 13 Gospel for Asia native missionaries has just
arrived in Srinigar, Kashmir, one of the hardest-hit areas in last week's
earthquake. These men and women are bringing much-needed food, water,
clothing and the Good News of Christ's love to those who are suffering.
More than 50 GFA missionaries have already been ministering in the
Jammu area of India's Jammu & Kashmir state. We have just now received
permission to send a team into Pakistan and will be sending relief workers
there in the next few days.
We thank the Lord Jesus for this opportunity to minister in His name to
those who have lost so much. This is not the first time we have brought
Christ's love across borders into areas of conflict. The Lord provided
opportunities to do so in Sri Lanka following the tsunami, and we pray
He will also bring fruit for His kingdom in this situation as well.
Just as was depicted in the PhotoShow from Sri Lanka that I shared with
you yesterday, I believe the love of Jesus is going to break down
barriers in the Jammu & Kashmir area.
Please pray for our relief workers as they begin reaching out in love

Even as we grieve that so many have lost their lives in the recent
earthquake, we trust that the Lord will provide an open door for the Good
News to enter these areas with power as never before.
