Dear Aaltje,
Picture with me this scene.
It is a hot, sunny day in an Indian village. A woman has come to draw
water from a new well in the village. But this isn't just any ordinary
well, as she will soon find out. It has sweet water, in stark contrast
to the others in this drought-stricken community.
And to her delight, this water is offered to anyone, regardless of
caste or standing. As the water pours into her vessels, a Believers Church
pastor's wife approaches. In her gentle manner, she tells this woman
about Jesus, the One who can quench her spiritual thirst.
I am happy to tell you that this scene takes place often in a tribal
area of Andhra Pradesh, India, where one of our "Jesus Wells" is located.
In the communities where they are drilled, these wells are having a
huge impact for Christ. And for Pastor Chandra, having a Jesus Well in his
village has softened hearts in a community that was previously opposed
to hearing the Good News. Please click the following link to see a
PhotoShow of how having a Jesus Well has led to a thriving church in this
area!

can be satisfied in Jesus.
