[GFA Update] Watching in the Pouring Rain ------------------------------------------------------ December 28, 2005 - Vol. V Issue 35 - 215,000 Subscribed ------------------------------------------------------
Dear Aalie,
Would you sit in the pouring rain to watch an outdoor film? Most of us, if we were honest, probably would not.
But in Burmese villages where our native missionaries are doing film outreach during monsoon season, people often bring their umbrellas and continue watching the film, even when a heavy downpour begins.
Life is not easy in this turmoil-filled land that suffers from oppressive military rule and ethnic fighting. But through the film team's ministry, people are hearing about the true freedom and peace Jesus offers--and they're even willing to stay out in the pouring rain to view that message. To read a story about our film team outreach in Myanmar, please click here. http://www.gfa.org/newsupdate122805?motiv=WA5C-G4LN
I truly thank God for this avenue of outreach and for your prayers that have helped make it possible for men, women and children in Myanmar (Burma) to hear about Jesus--perhaps for the first time--and find comfort in Him. Please continue to pray with us that many will trust in Christ for salvation.
What a privilege it is that we can labor together to reach precious souls in Myanmar through the medium of film.
Thank you for your partnership that means so much.
Yours for the unreached,
