For the sake of Helen's faith, I must give my testimony.....
About 2 years ago, I felt like I was fighting a flu bug. It would not leave me. Everytime I was around my Christian sisters and brothers, I would ask them to lay hands on me.
I had went to the doctor around December, 2001. In January, 2002 I started receiving mail from the clinic I had went to. However, I never responded, because I just did not feel like going back for a flu bug. In February I started getting, once a week, registered mail from the clinic urging me to go back. By that time I knew there was something really wrong with me. I had lost weight, I was extremely tired, had pain, and according to other people I was looking pale.
One day my daughter was at my house when the doctor called. She talked to her and told her that I needed to go back to the see her. So my daughter questioned me when I told her what was going on she insisted I go see my doctor. I figured I had a serious thing wrong in my body. My daughter said, "Mom, from what the doctor said, they thing that you might have cancer."
I started laughing and exclaimed, "Thank You, Jesus, I will be home (heaven) soon." My daughter started crying and told me that her and the rest of the kids still needed me. They are all grown with kids of their own. I left on my way to the car I thought, "cancer is very painful, and I hate pain." So in the car I started talking to the Lord. I was saying, "I refuse cancer in the name of Jesus, I refuse cancer in the name of Jesus."
I went to see the doctor, after being seen by 5 different doctors, and all of them seeing a lesion. I had so many tests done and all agreeing with the lesion being cancerous. It was third level cancer cells. Than it had went up to another level. The doctors were all talking about a surgery to try to remove it and chemo therapy. I was saying no to everything.
Every time I was around my sisters in Christ, they laid hands on me. I was still saying that I refused cancer in the name of Jesus. I had asked the Lord that if it was time for me to come home to please not make too painful, because I hate pain.
Then I went to see a specialist, he also talked about surgery. After he read all the test results, he looked very concerned. He examined me and talked me into having surgery. Before the surgery he wanted to examine me again. When he did examine me for what was supposed to be the last time, before surgery, IT ALL WAS GONE!
I remember the morning I got up and the sun was shining. I was feeling good and healthy. I praised the Lord and thanked Him for my healing everyday, but that day I knew that I had been healed while I slept.
I had traces of having that lesion, so to make sure he said he wanted to do laser surgery. I told him and all the other doctors and nurses that the Lord had healed me. The first doctor that found that lesion, was a young lady from the Middle East. She was embarrassed because she was sure she had seen the lesion and read the test reports correctly. I told her that the creator of all heavens and everything on the earth, including her, was wonderful and he had chosen to heal me. I was praising the name of Jesus, when she walked out shaking her head. I never saw her again, they told me that she had dropped me as a patient.
I still praise the Lord for my healing! And will continue to thank Him for it until I die here on earth. Amen!
