As you know India is  country filled with Idol worship in all of its corners. I really dont know how much the western people can imagine this kind of situation. whenever i read the bible especially the old testament, the days of the bad israel kings like ahab and akash etc., i can easily comprehend the situations prevailed in those days because we live in such a similar condition.I certainly know that idol worship is the greatest sin that God hates.
India needs JESUS.
Will you please pray for the revival of our country????? and the 1200 million people amongst of which more than 60 percent of them dont have CHRIST!!!!!!

Thank you for your prayers. There are persecutions in certain parts of India, especially in the northern states of India. Everyday we hear about the churches burnt down and the pastors and evangelists who are beaten , some times killed.  The prayers of the saints only helps us. In certain states they have brought a certain bill called "Anti conversion bill", which prevents forcible conversion. But generally this is misused by certain religious activists groups ( some are political parties) to threaten and attack the missionories and the christian workers. In the state in which I live, there is no such severe opposition. However we do need a lot of prayers.

Please continue to pray for us!!!!

This is   a Mail I just received for prayers:

The Evangelical Fellowship of India requests your prayers for the incidents mentioned below:

Attack on Church of God, Raipur, Chhattisgarh

The Church of God, a large Pentecostal church in Raipur, Chhattisgarh had their 59th annual convention from October 16th-21st 2007. At this convention, 39 baptisms took place.

Dharmsena, a RSS affiliated Hindu nationalist organization filed a complaint to the police on October 20th (the same day as the baptisms) against this activity. The police came to the church that same evening for investigation. After recording testimonies of those baptized- they clarified that they did not find any case of conversion by force or allurement.

Consequently, the Dharmsena organised a demonstration with clubs in front of the Civil Lines Police Station on Sunday, October 21st to build pressure on the police and administration. Unidentified persons stoned the church at about 11:30 PM on Monday October 22nd . An FIR has been registered by the pastor of the church under section 336.

Names and addresses of 75 persons who came from outside to attend the convention and 39 persons who took baptism were recorded by the police.

Please uphold the church in your prayers. Pray especially for the pastors and believers who are facing further police inquiry.

Christians attacked in Kalyanpuri, Delhi

A group of about 30 Hindu fanatics attacked the main speaker, Rev. Ivan Moses and other believers during a Christian meeting on October 28, 2007 in Kalyanpuri, Delhi.

The two day meeting, attended by around 250 people was organized by Rev. Ravi Samuel from October 27-28th

The last day of the meeting was disrupted by the fanatics as they came in and started shouting anti-Christian slogans. Rev. Moses and a few other believers were attacked but did not sustain injuries.

Rev. Ravi Samuel informed the Evangelical Fellowship of India that some of the miscreants have been arrested. No formal FIR has been lodged by the Christians in regard to this incident.

Please pray that the pastors and believers who attended the meeting would remain bold and would continue to grow in their faith. Pray also for their safety.
