Well, mom and I decided to go back to the emergency room again. She saw the same Dr. Venable again. Except this time, he was able to call Dr. Middlebrooks himself over the intercom. Dr. Middlebrooks happened to be in the hospital then. Dr. Venable talked with Dr. Middlebrooks---well, before then Dr. Venable came in and told mom that he thought it was her gallbladder hurting her so bad. For some reason, he changed from an enlarged liver to the gallbladder. He said you couldn't tell from x-rays how big the liver actually is. Which, mom and I did read on the internet that a gallbladder problem can make your liver enlarge. After Dr. Venable talked with Dr. Middlebrooks, Dr. Middlebrooks came in checking mom out---checking her breathing, heart, and her painful places. He came in asking mom how would you like to have gallbladder surgery in the morning (thursday). Mom said anything to take the pain away. The surgeon, Dr. McMahan, has to check mom out first. They might run other tests first to make sure it is her gallbladder before they do surgery. She is staying in the hospital Wednesday night. It gives me relief to know that she is in good hands at the hospital and with the Lord. I pray that it is only her gallbladder. And no complications happens if surgery happens. I am leaving it in God's hands. I will let you all know more about mom as I know more. Please pray for my mom. May God bless all the Christ Followers members and take care. Love, Jennifer |

Thanks Coinnut4 for continuing praying for my mom. We both appreciate it. Well, as of yet, she has not had the surgery. Dr. Middlebrooks got the idea that it was mom's gallbladder giving her problems. Yesterday, I told him that last time mom was in the ER, Dr. Venable said that it was her liver enlarged, but, he didn't think that it was her gallbladder. And yesterday back at the ER again, he thought it was her gallbladder, and you couldn't tell how large the liver is by an x-ray. He told Dr. Middlebrooks that it was her gallbladder. I think Dr. Middlebrooks did some thinking after he came in and asked if mom was ready for gallbladder surgery this morning. Because today Dr. Middlebrooks asked mom if Dr. Venable had confirmed that it was her gallbladder. Naturally mom told him NO. After he heard that, he told mom that he going to run some more tests on her. One of the tests was an ultrasound. She did hear the people who run the test say that they did find something. As of now, we do not know what they found. I pray that we find out some good news about what they found tomorrow. I will keep you informed as I know more. Love, Jennifer |

Yearning2Learn, thanks for continuing praying for my mom. It means a lot to mom and me. Praise the Lord, it was confirmed by Dr. Middlebrooks that it was her gallbladder. She had stones in it, and the gallbladder was twisted. I just pray that nothing else bad will be wrong with her when the surgeon gets in there to take out her gallbladder and what else he has to do cause of the gallbladder being taken out. I pray that the surgery goes well. Please pray with me on that. It makes me cry that mom will get more relief soon from the surgery when she has it done on her. Love, Jennifer |

We still don't know when the surgery will be. They told her not to drink or eat anything today in case it was today. Love, Jennifer |

They did not do the surgery today. They didn't want to because she was running a low grade temperature. And since she has low blood count, she would need a transfusion before her surgery. They allowed her to eat today and drink stuff. Mom told me at the hospital that Dr. Middlebrooks said that mom's gallbladder was full of stones, and it had shrunk and was tight. As to where the blood was coming from in her stools, we don't know yet. We are praying that it all has something to do with the gallbladder. Well, I guess as soon as she keeps a normal temperature, she will have the surgery soon after to take the gallbladder out and whatever. |

The surgeon, Dr. McMahan, told mom that she is suppose to have surgery tomorrow somewhere between 8 am and 8 pm. I asked about what time, and this nurse said it would be around 12 pm EST if there is not a cancellation earlier. Please pray that mom pulls through the surgery fine. It does worry me some with her already taking medicine for her heart. Please pray that they don't cancel her out from the surgery. She has been waiting ever since last Wednesday for this surgery. Please pray that they find out what all is wrong with her and can fix it or cure it. She, especially she, and I need all your prayers now. And we appreciate all the prayers we get from this wonderful and caring group. Love, Jennifer |
