Vegetable-rice Mélange
1 Cup dry rice; cook until fluffy
1 pkg. Frozen chopped broccoli or spinach, defrosted & heated (drain well)
1 egg
2 Tlb. Instant minced onion
1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. Salt
1 Cup milk
½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Paprika
Combine rice, green vegetables & mix egg, onion, Worcestershire Sauce, salt & milk and stir into rice-vegetable mixture. Pour into a greased 2 qt. Casserole.
Top with melted butter and shredded cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake in a slow oven (325) for 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 6 generous servings.
