Strawberry Cake
Recipe Ingredients: 6 ladyfingers = (or 1 small sponge cake) 1 1/4 cups sliced fresh strawberries 3 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/3 cup reduced-fat whipped topping 1 tbsp chopped walnuts
Recipe Instructions: Line a medium glass dish with split ladyfingers or sliced sponge cake. In a small bowl, toss the strawberries with the sugar.
In a separate bowl, add the vanilla to the whipped topping. Sprinkle some berries over the cake, then add a layer of whipped topping. Sprinkle with nuts.
Repeat in layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of whipped topping and nuts.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1/2 cup.

For Sharing! I'll tell you what's good is strawberry/banana bread. A friend of mine found that when she had an abundance of strawberries from her garden, she could add them to so many different dishes and they were a great combination. I especially love them in the bread! |
