| WHAT IS LOVE ? What is love you may ask?
Is it more than just a word by chance?
Is it an emotion that stirs deep within?
Can this thing love cleanse our life of sin?
Leaving the Father He came to earth,
A miraculous gift was His birth.
Holy, unblemished and wholesome
To be the perfect sacrificial lamb.
A demonstration of love displayed
The day the Savior was nailed.
He willingly gave His life on the tree
To save wretched sinners you and me.
True love expressed in a single act.
Not required nor upon request.
Through love and shedding of blood,
Offering salvation to the obedient.
Love is much more than a single word,
Perfect love from almighty God.
Love is not just a word to be said
But action expressed in His stead.
