Back Against the Wall
When your back's against the wall And you have nowhere to go; You know what you should do, But your head is sinking low.
Fear has you in its grip. Hopeless, seems to be your plight. Let me tell you, if I may, Don't give up. Begin to fight.
There's a power that's within you. There's more strength than you're aware. There's a God, who truly loves you. Cast upon Him, all your cares.
There is nothing He can't handle. There is nothing, great or small, That He won't help you conquer ~ If only you will call.
Count the battle as a victory (For, it was already won) And it's yours for the taking; Just remember Christ, God's Son.
So, lift the head that's hanging. Let your tears now subside. Knowing full-well you are covered And, in God, you must abide. Copyright © 2003 Marie Williams
