Ok, I got it now. What I should have done is start my own thread and add one thing I am thankful for in it each day, which seems appropriate since this is the month Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in. I encourage each of you to make your own and then on a day you feel kind of down, read your whole list! |

I have a great thanksgiving today: Our oldest son has had an alcohol problem since his teens and was spending 300 to 400 dollars a month on it. We had started praying much for him and in February of this year he just totally quit in one day and he knows it's God that did it for him, for he does not even have cravings. We have been praying that God would call him by the Spirit to Christ - and a couple of days ago on the phone he said he had read David Jeremiah's What in the World is Going On? and he knows he needs to be in church and raising his daughters in church. He has promised to attend next Sunday and wants to know for sure he is saved, too. Isn't that just great? We praise God and give thanks to him, for what is heaven without our children and grandchildren? How can we enjoy heaven if they are lost? I rejoice that God is working on our family! |

Amen, I'm praising God for this too, MrW! Today, I'm also thankful for the privilege of prayer. God is so amazing in that He provided a way for me to have access to Him through Jesus Christ with my prayers, thanksgiving and petitions. Glory to His name! |

Today I am giving thanks that the price of gasoline is down to $2 per gallon which is a big contributor to us being able to take our daughter-in-law, our daughter, and our niece (who is like a daughter to us) out for supper to celebrate their birthdays, and am thankful that we have them and love them and they love us. |

Today, I give thanks for the great night last night, and the pleasant afternoon with family we are looking forward to. MOSTLY I give thanks today for the blessed hope of the Christian church, the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take His children out of this world and spare them from the wrath to come. The hope of the return of Christ is the joy of the church, and I look forward in anticipation to that event. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus! Amen! |

I thank God that today we had two sons in church. One of them does not speak to me, but at least he's in church where he hears God's truth. The other son (the oldest) hugs my neck. I am trusting God that one day it will be that way with both. |

Today I give thanks for coffee by my bed and a hot shower when I arise, and soap and shampoo. It is so nice to be clean and refreshed in the mornings! Thank you my sweet wife, and thank You Jesus! |

Today I give thanks to God for my kidneys (they perform a vital function) my eyes, my ears, my tongue, my teeth, my hands and feet - in short, my whole body which is remarkably healthy. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for your blessings that allow me to enjoy Your world. I give thanks for the Word of God. One-third of the world cannot access a Bible, but I have several. I give thanks for my sweet wife who knew I was craving some chili and came home after work yesterday and surprised me by making me chili, and it was ready when I got home. Now that's a thoughtful and caring wife! Thank you my darling! |

You're welcome, Baby, but you didn't tell everyone that it gave you a terrible case of heartburn. I'm thankful for the ability to think and reason and do things, simple things, like cooking a good meal for my precious husband and others. I love to cook, I just don't have the time I would like to have to do it. |

Thank You, Lord God, for giving us family to love - Moms, Dads, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. And thank You for friends to love and who help us and whom we can help. And thank You that You don't call anyone "saint" but You call us "saints" because You gave us community, community that we call the local church, because YOU KNOW it is not good for man to dwell alone. Thank You Lord Jesus. |

Father, today I thank You for a wife that is so sweet and considerate that she stayed up an hour and a half after I went to bed so she could make stuffed eggs for me to take to work for our Thanksgiving dinner, and yet still had to get up an hour before me to go to work herself. What a wonderful woman you have given me! Thank You Sir! |
