Hi everyone,  I have a couple of relatives in need of prayers right now.

My cousin is having major surgery this week for a rare disease called Wagners that she has been battling for the past 2 years.  This disease has affected her ability to breath and every 3 months for the past 2 years she has had to have surgery to open up her passage way to allow her to breath.  You can only have this type of surgery so many times before another option has to be explored.  So this coming Thursday they are trying option 2 which has serious risks involved and will require her learning to speak again.  She is only 35 and has two young girls at home.  We were all hoping that it would not come to this but it has.  Needless to say we are all a bit scared right now. She is a Clay fan and when I told her about prayer requests on the message board her eyes lit up.  I told her that you can't have to many people praying for you.  I believe in the power of prayer and so does she.

My Aunt is also going to a rough period right now.  She was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago.  We are awaiting all the test results.  We have received a bit of good news indicating that it has not spread but she is going to be going through treatments soon and could use some extra prayers as well.

Thanks everyone..

Jaclay,
Your aunt and cousin will be in my prayers.  That's a lot for one family to have to deal with.  I really pray they will be okay.

Jaclay,  I am so very sorry I didn't see this post until I saw you had thanked Mich for
her prayers for your family.   I have been going to come over to this board to do an
update for Susy and haven't done that yet.  So I come here to see if you had posted
for prayers.

You have my prayers for your Cousin and your Aunt.  Prayers are so very important.
I have not heard of the Wagners disease.  I will have to go and read about it.  I'm glad I found this tonight so we can be praying for her surgery to go well. and that she will have a full recovery.  Can you imagine having to learn to talk all over again??
I hope you will let us know how she gets along. and keep us up with her recovery.

Prayers for your Aunt,  These treatments are a must I know, I just hope they are as
easy on her as they can be.  I talk to Susy daily and most of the time she feels pretty
good, but, there are those two or three days that she is very uncomfortabe.  I hope
your Aunt is a strong lady and can keep her spirits up.  That seems to be very
important too.

It seems like things gets so overpowering at times,  Here you are with your Cousin
and your Aunt,  And I have Susy, also An Aunt, and Abby's other Grandma (Abby
is my Granddaughter)  All dealing with Cancer.    Just know you and your family are
in my prayers along with my family.       Sending you lots of hugs.   We just have to
stay strong for them.

Thanks for your prayers Ima and Corie.   I'm not sure exactly sure which form of Wegner's disease my cousin has.  I'm also not exactly sure of the spelling of it.  I searched the other day and found something that described what she had but I did not keep the link and now I can't find it.   I'll have to look again when I have more time.  All I know is there seems to be many forms of this disease and the one she has affects her ability to breath.

Just a quick update on my cousin.  She has pulled through the surgery okay     but she still is in intensive care which is normal after this kind of surgery.  The doctors are optimistic but it is going to be a very long recovery for her since she will need to learn how to talk all over again.   She had a very rough day today and can't swallow yet which means she can't eat.  They are going to have to insert a feeding tube tomorrow.  I would really appreciate it if you would continue to keep her in your prayers.   This is going to be a very slow recovery over the coming months.  I feel so bad for her having to go through this and her immediate family is having a hard time as well .
