I'm back and still on a high from my very first Clay concert.
Thank heavens it is a holiday today in Canada and I get another day to recover. It was well worth the 2 year wait!! What an incredible fun show. My night was just so special. Clay was so cute, funny/snarky and so H O T!!!!!!!!
When Clay came on stage he took my breath away and I had happy tears. I also had goosebumps. During the show I had to keep telling myself to breath. Nobody has ever affected me like that before. What an experience.
The silly looks he did when he was playing the piano were priceless!!!! I just wanted to give him a big hug.
It was so funny when Clay lost his composure during the medley with Angela and Quinna and started giggling. The crowd started laughing and gave him a nice round of applause. How cute is he...
Lots of Clay love from the crowd. I blew him a kiss from ClayN'Company" I hope he got it..
And his voice. It was so powerful and smooth. Lots of glory notes. I just melted listening to him. I really enjoyed Mandy, Solitaire, Sailing, Unchained Melody. Heck, I loved them all. I really enjoyed the new songs too. I was dancing away.
I took the advise you gals gave me and I tried not to take my eyes off Clay. The looks he gives you during the show.. Whoa!! You gals did not prepare me for that. Sometimes it felt like he was looking right at me. I think I thudded many times during the night. How does he do this? He made me weak in the knees when he did the Elvis moves. I almost called for EMT. And Ricky Martin pretty much finished me off. Is he purposely trying to kill us during this tour.
The moves during " When Doves Cry" were hot!!. I lost my composure and yelled "We Love You Clay" during the show... I have never done that before at a concert either. I certainly seem to loose control when I am around him. Clay brings out the animal in me.
I also ended up sitting beside a member of the CDB's (Claypower) from Canada!! What a small world. I told her I was a member of the CDB's and I told her my board name. She knew who I was. How scary is that. I also met PST from the CDB's before the concert. They are both very nice. I also met a few gals from the Clayboard. There were also some Clay fans staying at my hotel but it was late when I returned so I didn't get a chance to really talk to them and find out where they were from. I also saw some Clay fans in line to cross the border back to Canada!! It was so funny at the border. I would see a car with a Clay sticker or Clay sign etc. and of course honk the horn to acknowledge that I was a fellow Clay fan. When the customs officer asked at the border where we were and I said to see Clay Aiken he said."there are quite a few Clay fans crossing here today"
It is a night I will never ever forget. I give this concert a 10
I Can't wait to see this show again in just 25 days!!!! He is a natural on stage. What a magical night. Clay owns my heart forever
Jaclay, I'm glad your night was so speical. I can't wait to see Clay again. I never forget the awe of seeing him the first time. Now I know if I had two more life times to live, I could never ever get enough of him.
It is great that you will get to see him again so soon. BUT. Each time you see him it just gets worse, and worse, You're just deeper and deeper in love with him. I doesn't get any better
Jaclay, I enjoyed reading your recap of the concert. I bet you still are basking in Clay's glow. It's great that you are going to be able to see him again. Happy for you.
Jaclay..thanks so much for the recap...guess it will take awhile to come down off of your high.. my turn next week..the excitement is building hearing everyones recaps !
Hi Jackie!!! What a great recap! I know exactly how you feel, I saw the concert last night in Pittsburgh! I just loved how he came out in the very beginning looking and acting very much like Fonzie....no expression....just cockiness and POW, hits that jukebox and the magic starts!
I am thrilled you were able to attend this concert....and for it to be your first....how exciting!
Jaclay - what a wonderful recap! I am so happy you finally got to see him in concert, and like Rose says....you just fall deeper each time you see him. I wish I could have been right next to you to see the look in your eyes when you saw him and heard him live for the first time.
It's my turn tomorrow night in Atlanta!! It will be my 13th time to see him and I am as giddy now as I was the first time!! Then Wednesday in Greenville and Saturday in Valdosta.....will my heart make it through this!
