| Okay fine, Clay has no idea it's "our" song, but it is! Some of you may remember a while back on the CDB board we posted stories of when we first FELL for Clay. Well, my story was, I loved him from day one, even thought he was cute with dorky glasses. Kinda felt something every Tuesday night. But, I will never forget the night he came out singing "SUGAR-PIE-HONEY-BUNCH." I was sitting on my bed and my daughter Ashlea was with me. I had to turn my head and bite my fist to keep from squealing, and as much as I love my daughter, I was just wishing she would go watch the show in her room so I could drool openly. I could not believe the feelings I was having for a guy young enough to be my son and I was as giddy as a teenager. I kept telling myself "Cathy, get a grip, you are 48 years old", not knowing at the time that millions of other women my age were having the same reaction. By the end of that song I was a drooling idiot  and my life hasn't been the same since! That was when I FELL for Clay! So, when he asked for requests for songs from the past decade that were not included on this tour, I almost wet my britches  when someone up front requested SPHB!! AND HE SANG IT!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! HOLY COW, THERE AIN'T NOTHIN BETTER THAN HAVING YOUR BOYFRIEND SING YOUR SONG!!  okay, I realize he wasn't really singing "our" song for me, but a girl can dream, right? hugs, Cathy | | |
