Here are the basic steps to make your own montages. There is much more but it will get you started.
1) Open Movie Maker.
2) The song is 203 seconds long ( AN EXAMPLE).
3) At the top of the screen, you will see a TOOLS tab.
4) Click on it and scroll down to OPTIONS.
5) Click on the ADVANCED tab.
6) You will see two sections.
7) Duration of Pictures and Duration of Transitions.
8) Change them to 12 seconds for pictures and 3 seconds for Transitions.
9) Now scroll down to the E-mail section.
10) Change the setting to 6 MB or higher.
11) Now at the bottom, OK the new settings.
12) Once you approve the new settings, each picture will be 9 seconds long and each Transition will be 3 seconds long.
13) Remember I said the song was 203 long? 9 seconds into 203 is 22 pictures that will be needed. Maybe 23 pictures.
14) In the upper left hand corner, you will see a list of options on the MAIN PAGE. This is where you import all Pictures, Videos and Music.
15) When you import the pictures and Music, simply drag them down to the large squares.
16) The small squares are there to insert transitions IF you want to use them. If not then each picture will be 12 seconds long. that means 12 into 203 is 17 pictures will be needed. BUT transitions makes the presentation look more professional.
17) Once you drag the pictures down to the large squares, RIGHT CLICK on each picture. You will see a setting for VIDEO EFFECTS. This is to be used to make each picture do something. Ease out, ease in, Darken or lighten the picture plus a slew of other effects. Practice using them. You can always change back.
The small screen to your left is there to see your work.
