Apple Nut Ring
2 7-oz pkgs refridgerated buttermilk biscuits
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
2/3 cup sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
3-4 med-sized apples
1/3 cup chopped nuts
Separate biscuits.
In a saucepan, melt butter or margarine.
Combine sugar & cinaamon in a small bowl.
Dip biscuits in butter, then roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Arrange biscuits, so that they overlap, around the edge & into the center of a gresaed 9x13-inch baking pan.
Peel, core, & slice apples. Cut slices in half cross-wise. Place an apple slice between each biscuit & around the outer edge of the baking pan.
Mix nuts with any remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture. Sprinkle over the top of the biscuits & apples.
Bake at 400~f. for 25-30 minutes, or till biscuits are a deep golden brown.
