Sausage Ziti Bake
1 1/2 lbs sweet italian bulk sausage
1 lb uncooked ziti
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 large onion, chopped
32-oz jar spaghetti sauce
salt to taste
pepper to taste
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Brown sausage in a large stock pot.
Meanwhile cook the ziti according to pkg directions. Drain.
After sausage is browned remove it to a bowl & drain off all but 1 tbsp of drippings. Add mushrooms & onions to stock pot. Cook gently till tender.
Stir in sauce, sausage, cooked ziti, salt & pepper. Spoon into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover.
Bake at 350~f. for 30-34 minutes or till heated through.
Sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered an additional 5 minutes.
