My maiden name is Parker, my GG Grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Parker and Martha Emma Gray. Benjamin came to Dallas Co. from neighboring Henry Co. the son of Benjamin Gaither Parker, and Martha was from Preble Co. Ohio.
Their son, my Great Grandfather, Archie Parker married Eva Lena Arnold, daughter of George Arnold and Mary Jane Southard, also of Dallas County. They were married in Dallas County, and my Grandparents were born in Dallas County.
Benjamin William Parker and Idress Bessie Hoppers, daughter of Maggie Hoppers, but her mother died in childbirth so she was rasied by her grandparernts, William &Laura Hoppers, and her Aunt & Uncle Ada and Virgil Thomas, alternaltly until her marriage to my grandfather. After which, my Great Grandparents and my grandparents moved to Saline County, around the 1920's.
I am desperately searching for any information about my Hoppers family because since my Great Grandmother died in childbirth with my Grandmother, I've been unable to get any. I've found out that the name was previously Hoppes, but my GGG Grandfather, Michael B.H. Hoppes changed his named after the civil war was over. Thank You.
